Definition of Studio Policies:
Studio policies are established guidelines and rules within an educational or creative studio, detailing expectations and procedures for students and clients. These policies cover aspects such as attendance, payment, behavior, and other essential guidelines, providing a framework for a structured learning environment.
Importance for Teachers and Parents:
Studio policies are crucial for teachers as they set expectations, ensuring a focused and organized learning atmosphere. For parents, these policies offer transparency on their child's educational journey, promoting understanding of commitments, and fostering a collaborative relationship with teachers. Clear guidelines enhance communication, accountability, and contribute to a positive and effective learning experience for both educators and parents.
The Viocello Music Studio was established in 2000. In 2018, the Markham professional music team was established. The studio has successfully cultivated a group of symphony orchestras played by piano and string students at all levels, which is well received by parents, students and the community The Musician's Workshop is the only music school established for young students in Greater Toronto to step into the symphony, concerto, jazz, pop music, and musical theatre at an early stage.
Policies
VioCello Music Studio Policies:
This is Viocello Studio's notice and regulations for students attending classes/taking leave. Parents, when considering on whether to enroll your child in music lessons, it is crucial to comprehend that individual music sessions are arranged once a week (or twice) and form an integral part of the regular course. Upon the decision to commence classes, it becomes imperative to prudently schedule daily practice time, making it an essential component of your child's life during the music-learning journey.

The following Terms of Use apply when you use our Services.
Please review the following terms carefully. By accessing or using the Services, you signify your agreement to these Policies. If you do not agree to be bound by these Policies in their entirety, you may not access or use the Service.
REGISTRATION; TUITION
Monthly fee regulations:
Monthly Fees must be recieved at the Beginning of the month Prior to the first class each month, and note that once tuition is paid, refunds will not be granted. In the event of travel plans or other commitments, please communicate these matters clearly with your teacher before making payment, and arrangements will be made. Students or Parents/Guardians may contact a teacher in which they are interested in learning with to discuss lesson scheduling and tuition.
CANCELLATION/MAKEUP CLASS REGULATIONS
Please actively communicate with your teacher and, with their confirmation, arrange another time for your child to have a make up lesson. Cancellations must be made within 48 hours of the lesson times. Acceptable reasoning for cancellation:
1. Notifying your teacher early on the same day in case of an illness or discomfort of the child (or parents).
2. Sudden emergencies (teachers may also encounter similar situations).
3. Extreme weather conditions the day of (excluding situations where schools and after-school classes are still in session).
Flexibility for rescheduling:
1. Pre-knowledge of unavoidable events.
2. Family travel plans.
3. If the student (or parent) is sick or has any other emergencies
Please notify your teacher at least one week in advance to facilitate timely rescheduling with other students. Last-minute cancellations will not be credited, resulting in the loss of the scheduled lesson.
No makeup class will be provided for the following reasons:
1. Not notifying teacher in advance.
2. Forgetting class time and missing the class.
3. Cancelling too frequently (e.g., once or twice times a month).
4. Please be punctual for your lessons, and if late, the lost time will not be compensated.
OTHER REGULATIONS
1. If parents would like to observe a lesson, you may schedule an appointment with your child's teacher.
2. Should you have any inquiries or need to reach out to the teacher on the day of the class, feel free to enter the classroom during the last 5 minutes of the session.
3. Please ensure timely pickup of your child. If waiting in the designated area, maintain a quiet environment to prevent disruption to your child or other students during their lesson. For any adjustments to the waiting area occupancy, please inform your teacher in advance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Practice and prepare your music
Come to Lessons prepared with your notebook and music! Be ready for music learning!
Our time is valuable too! If you are late for your lesson, we are likely unable to provide you with extra time past your scheduled time. Please arrive 5 minutes early for your lesson time!
If you have specific goals for your lessons/children's lessons, please communicate them to your instructor so that they can accommodate your desires.
VIDEO/AUDIO RECORDING DISCLAIMER
We professionally record all of our concerts and group rehearsals as a resource to provide feedback to students, measure progress, and to improve results for future services within the studio. These professional level recordings are available to parents for purchase upon request and are provided included as a service to our clients, for ever-lasting memory, showcasing the hard work and dedication of the students.
